‘Trudy’ is one cool young lady. Easy-going, charming and spirited. Trudy is a vibrant Ruby Port, bursting with juicy, ripe fruit and fresh as can-be.
Superb Port producer Niepoort brings us this exuberant, dangerously moreish Ruby which is a blend of wines from 3 different vintages with an average age of 3 years. The wine is made using traditonal methods, grapes trodden by foot and fermented in Lagares and then aged in old wooden vats in the cool cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia.
The result is a beautiful Port which can be enjoyed at ease, there is enough character, acidity and tannin to give the juice structure and elegance whilst being youthful and heaps of fun! Drink by itself or with plenty of cheese.
