The Steal of the Month

Circle of Life 2012, Stellenbosch, South Africa

May’s steal of the month is no other than the hands-down favourite from our Waterkloof wine tasting last Summer, Circle of Life 2012.

Not surprisingly, this fine white blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and a little Semillon receives rave reviews, it is both contemporary and sophisticated. Layers of citrus, tropical fruit and light creamy vanilla seamlessly interweave with a precise mineral wrapper and lasting finish. The long, natural yeast fermentation, lees ageing, careful oak influence and blending have created an interesting, balanced and down-right delicious wine!
A sheer delight of a white and un-mistakeably a reflection of the variety and character of Waterkloof’s viticulture and viniculture where biodynamics, respect for nature, traditional winemaking and minimal intervention is key.

At the special price of £13.05 a bottle this month and just £11.60 to our wine club members, it’s a wine not to be missed, a bottle for cracking open when enjoying a seared tuna steak or a tasty spring chicken roast.

The Steal of the Month

Pete’s ‘Wines We Love’, Val D’Oca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, Rive Di Colbertaldo D.O.C.G.,  simply flew off the shelves, for those of you who missed it we are pleased to say that it is back in town! Whats more, with this being the perfect sparkling to celebrate Spring and the coming of sunnier and warmer days (here’s hoping!) we thought we would treat all of our customers to an extra special price, 10% off when you buy a bottle of this fab wine. For our wine club members this will mean an additional 10% discount on top of your usual discount, a veritable steal to say the least!

Val D’Oca Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore is a truly beautiful pale straw yellow sparkling with layers of flavour, depth and finesse. A fine, lively mousse, a superb balance between softness and acidity and deliciously extra dry. I wholeheartedly agree with Pete’s recommendations ‘a great aperitif or accompaniment for steamed mussels’.

A beautiful wine in a beautiful bottle and seriously good value for money at £13.50 a bottle. With this months special offer it will be a fantastic £12.15 and a jaw-dropping £10.80 to our wine club members, whist stocks last of course. Be quick, this fizz won’t hang around and no fighting please!
