Domaine de la Rocaillère Beaujolais Vielles Vignes 2014, France 2 Bottles £10.50
A luscious Gamay for summertime drinking. On first encounter, bursting with ripe raspberries on the nose and a supple red fruit palate, then moving on to a crisp fresh finish. Light and dry as you would expect from a Beaujolais but with the old vine crop delivering plenty of fruit. This is a highly suppable red, a wine that could be lightly chilled if drinking on a hot day but certainly not compulsory.

Casale Falchini, Chianti Colli Senesi 2011, Italy 2 Bottles £12.50
The Falchini family have been following in the footsteps of their Florentine winemaking ancestors since 1964, producing quality and characterful wines. This Chianti is no exception, it’s a tasty example of a Colli Senesi, juicy with balanced cherry and fine sweet spice flavours. The recipe: 85% Sangiovese and a touch of Canaiolo, a little oak influence and a lot of love, producing a warm, dry and fresh Chianti. No wonder it was Hannibal’s favourite!

Tim Adams Foxlee Riesling 2012, Clare Valley, Australia 2 Bottles £11.50
From the highest and coolest wine region in Australia, this is a wine that reflects it’s ‘terroir’, it is bright with purity of flavour and elegance. Cool fermentation and cold settling has retained the aromatics of the fruit, the nose and palate brim with mouthwatering citrus especially grapefruit and lime. A dry and zingy Riesling with a little steeliness which would pair nicely with a lightly spiced prawn and noodle stir fry.

Réserve Personelle Mâcon Villages 2013, Burgundy, France 2 Bottles £11.00
One you may well recognise as it has been among BinTwo’s repertoire for a little while. Not only is this a great value Burgundian Chardonnay but it has all of the character and finesse that we would hope for. It shows good depth of flavour, appley with a touch of butter and hazelnut (some malolactic fermentation no doubt) and gentle acidity. A popular choice for those of you who prefer the un-oaked style of Chardonnay, one bottle won’t be enough!

Torre de Menagem 2013, Vinho Verde, Portugal 2 Bottles £10.50
We are definatley in June when I am popping a bottle of Vinho Verde on ice to crack open later as an aperitif. I particularly love this wine for its zest, minerality and lively light spritz. Torre de Menagem blends the local varieties of Alvarinho and Trajadura, the familiar citrus and apple vinho verde characters are backed up with a fuller ripe peachiness and floral notes, a nice example of probably the most popular of Portuguese dry whites.
